Limit Switch KI-G1 (KI-G1M) for Hoist Motor with Fork Groove (Cat. No. 258008) for Hoists 2, 3.2, and 5 t Capacity
Limit switch KI-G1 (also available in the KI-G1M modification) — is a reliable, double-acting electromechanical safety device. It is designed to automatically block the movement of the hook block when it reaches the extreme upper or extreme lower position.
The device is installed on classic Bulgarian-made wire rope electric hoists (T, MT series) of medium and high lifting capacity — from 2.0 to 5.0 tons.
The switch is mounted directly under the cover of the terminal box of the lifting electric motor (KG, KV series). The drive lever of the KI-G1 model has a characteristic special groove into which the fork of the traction rod enters. When the maximum height is reached, the limit rings («crackers») move the rod, which then acts on the switch lever, and the device breaks the contactor control circuit, instantly stopping the motor.
Technical Specifications and Features
- Device type: Lifting mechanism limit switch (double-acting).
- Application: Bulgarian hoists with a capacity of 2.0 – 5.0 t.
- Compatible motors: KG, KV series and similar lifting motors with a conical rotor.
- Lever design: Features a special groove for the rod fork (the key difference from the KI-G11 model for light hoists).
- Housing material: High-strength, fire-resistant plastic (carbolite), resistant to industrial vibrations and heating up to +300°C.
- Switching type: Breaking the low-current control circuit of magnetic starters.
* Service recommendation: When replacing the limit switch, always check the free movement of the traction rod and the secure fastening of the limit «crackers». The accumulation of dust or thickened grease in the terminal box can cause the mechanism to stick.
