The Sino KA-500 series optical linear encoders are ultra-compact measuring scales specifically engineered for machine tools with severely limited installation space. Featuring a miniature cross-section of just 18×20 mm, they are the ideal solution for small lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and EDM equipment, as well as cross slides where standard-sized scales cannot be accommodated.

KA-500 scales deliver high positioning accuracy and stable data transmission to Digital Readout (DRO) systems or CNC controls. The reader head mechanism utilizes high-quality bearings for smooth operation, while specialized elastomer lip seals provide robust protection for the internal glass scale against dust, swarf, and coolant fluid ingress.
