Wire Rope Overload Limiter ВОТ-100
The overload limiter ВОТ-100 is an electromechanical safety device designed to prevent emergency overloading of the lifting mechanism. It is used on wire rope electric hoists (particularly Bulgarian-made T and MT series), as well as on overhead and gantry cranes with a nominal lifting capacity of 2.0...4.0 tons.
The device is mounted directly on the "dead" end of the hoisting rope. When attempting to lift a load that exceeds the nominal capacity by 10–25% (the threshold is individually adjusted), the rope tension acts on the lever-spring mechanism of the limiter. The built-in microswitch breaks the lifting contactor control circuit, instantly stopping the upward movement. At the same time, the lowering function remains active for the safe return of the load to the ground.
