BOT Series Wire Rope Overload Limiters
The BOT series overload limiter is a reliable electromechanical safety device designed to prevent the overloading of wire rope electric hoists, overhead cranes, and gantry cranes. It is a mandatory element of the safety system, protecting the electric motor from burning out, and the supporting structures and rope from deformation and breaking.
The device is easily mounted on the "dead" end of the hoisting rope without having to cut it. When the nominal load weight is exceeded (by 10-25%), the built-in microswitch breaks the control circuit of the lifting contactor. At the same time, the lowering function remains active, allowing the safe return of the load to the ground.
